  • Hidden oases
  • One of Chicago’s oldest houses

  • And much more

The Munch Around Lincoln Park Scavenger Hunt

Treat your taste buds to an adventure…

…while exploring this eclectic, sometimes eccentric North Side neighborhood. This scavenger hunt features many of the same history-packed highlights as the Secrets of Lincoln Park Scavenger Hunt—including Dorothy’s BFFs in Oz Park, loitering Founding Fathers, a sculpture that invites you to play, and a creepy sunbather—but also adds in a dose of deliciousness.

You and your teammates will get a chance to sample a variety of gourmet delights, such as cow-tippin’ ice cream, surprising pretzel sandwiches, seductive cupcakes, hot dogs that starred on the Food Network, and drinks that made Rachael Ray squeal with delight.

Make sure that at least one member of your team has a fully charged smartphone. You’ll need it to participate in the Team Photo Challenges and to document your munching exploits.

The Wild Wildlife Scavenger Hunt

Discover the oddest animals and strangest facts…

…on a whirlwind tour of the Lincoln Park Zoo. Clues will lead you to the right spot so you can answer tricky, hilarious questions about the fantastic beasts you discover.

Along the way, you might cross climates on an African safari, learn how your neck is like a twiga’s, get hissed at by cockroaches, endure howling gibbons, go nose-to-snout with black bears, ponder puffins, uncover the secrets of the “deep forest,” find a rattle that would make a terrible baby toy, and learn whether or not you should punch someone who calls you a bufflehead.

You don’t need to know anything about the zoo or its residents to win. You just need sharp eyes and comfy shoes, plus at least one smartphone per team to tackle the Team Photo Challenges.

We also offer a version of this hunt for kids ages 7 and up, for private groups. Kids and adults work together on the fun and funny challenges. It makes for a wild, wacky, and wonderful activity for birthday parties, school and camp field trips, family get-togethers, and more. After all, what kid doesn’t love the zoo?
