Get into the spirit of 1776!

Can you imagine a more fascinating and charming place for a scavenger hunt than Colonial Williamsburg? The town dovetails with the outdoor museum, a re-creation of what Williamsburg looked like during the Revolutionary War. You’ll tackle our usual array of tricky, entertaining questions and challenges while uncovering the secrets of the palatial homes, quaint stores, government buildings steeped in history, delightful gardens, a bit of the College of William & Mary, and much more. Along the way, you’ll need to get creative for Team Photo Challenges–perhaps you’ll recruit a historical re-enactor dressed as a founding father (or mother).

Much of Williamsburg is open to the public without charge. If your group already has paid admission to Colonial Williamsburg we can include questions inside some of the old-time shops on Duke of Gloucester Street. (Most of the buildings can only be seen on a guided tour, so we can’t include them on the hunt.) The hunt is available in 90-minute and two-hour versions.

Also available at Colonial Williamsburg: The Fast and Furious Folk Art Scavenger Hunt, all-indoor hunt inside the thoroughly surprising Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum and the DeWitt Wallace
Decorative Arts Museum–two museums in one.
