Explore Your City on a Scavenger Hunt

You’re not collecting objects (drop that pigeon!), you’re searching for answers to tricky, humorous questions that help you see a museum, neighborhood, or other cool place with new eyes.

Anyone can get in the game! The scavenger hunts take place on weekends and are played on teams of up to six people. No knowledge of any hunt location is required—all you need is a sharp mind and a good pair of shoes. More than 150,000 hunters served since 1999.

Advance purchase is required for all hunts. To purchase tickets online, select a city or a hunt and go to the hunt calendar. To purchase tickets by phone, call OvationTix at 866-811-4111 (Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern time). Please note that there is a $1 surcharge for phone orders.

Can you deduce whodunit?

Someone—or some thing—has been bumping off museum staffers involved in acquiring a sacred Egyptian relic. Is it the dreaded Curse of Ahtchu? Or is a serial killer on the loose? Your team of sleuths will have to crack a hieroglyphic code, question a suspect, and uncover the museum’s secrets to stop the killings.

Warning: This is one of our more challenging hunts. But it’s a great way to enjoy a whirlwind tour of the best of the Field Museum…with a dash of intrigue. Click on the button below to see the hunt schedule and get in the game!
