The Lincoln Park Zoo Hunt
Meeting Place Information

Bring Your E-Ticket and/or Confirmation Number to the Hunt: After you complete your online ticket purchase, you will see an on-screen “e-ticket” that you should print out and bring to the hunt. If you purchase tickets over the phone, you will receive a confirmation number that you should bring to the hunt. You must have a valid e-ticket or confirmation number to participate in the hunt. You will also receive an e-mail receipt of your purchase. No tickets will be sold at the hunt. If you need to purchase tickets, return to the Hunt Schedule.

Meeting Place: At the Lincoln Park Zoo, go to the Gateway Pavilionnear the middle of the zoo near the Cannon Drive parking long on the east side (#29 on the zoo map, click here to download a PDF file of the map). There, look for our crew in burgundy Watson Adventures caps.

Meeting Time: Please be at the meeting place before the time listed on the Hunt Schedule. If you arrive late, you may not get the full two hours of hunting time—but you’ll still have fun.

What to Bring: Each team must have one Polaroid or digital camera for the Team Photo Challenges.

Forming a Team: The hunt is played on teams of up to eight people. You can bring your own team and hunt with as few as two on a team, or we can help you band together with kindred spirits at the start of the hunt. Over the years, we’ve found that “pick up” teams often have the most fun, not just because the hunt is a bit easier with more brains working on the questions, but also because the hunters have fun getting to know each other. Your team can have more than six people, but you will not be eligible to win a prize. But maybe that’s not your priority anyway! The main objective is to have fun.

Prizes: Each member of the winning team will receive a prize (it’s a sur-prize). Plus if you fill out a survey after the hunt, you’ll be eligible to win free admission to a future hunt.

Dress: Be comfortable! Don’t carry anything heavy and definitely wear comfortable shoes!

What If It Rains? The hunt will almost always take place rain or shine. If a torrential downpour forces us to cancel the hunt, we will post an announcement on the Hunt Hotline two hours before the start of the hunt: Call 877-9-GO HUNT, extension 12. If the hunt is canceled, please call that number or e-mail us to reschedule to another date.
