Field Museum Hunt
Meeting Place Information

Bring Your E-Ticket and/or Confirmation Number to the Hunt: After you complete your online ticket purchase, you will see an on-screen “e-ticket” that you should print out and bring to the hunt. If you purchase tickets over the phone, you will receive a confirmation number that you should bring to the hunt. You must have a valid e-ticket or confirmation number to participate in the hunt. You will also receive an e-mail receipt of your purchase. No tickets will be sold at the hunt. If you need to purchase tickets, return to the Hunt Schedule.

Meeting Place: The Field Museum is at 1400 S. Lake Shore Drive. Enter the museum from any entrance, getting your own museum admission. Inside, near the entrance to the Nature Walk Exhibit, across from the elephant on the Main Floor, look for a group of people and our MC wearing a burgundy Watson Adventures cap. See below for information on how to get to the museum.

Meeting Time: Please arrive before the time indicated on the Hunt Schedule so you can purchase your museum admission. If you need to check coats or bags, please arrive early, especially in bad or cold weather, when the lines can be slower. Please bring your e-ticket to the hunt.

Forming a Team: The hunt is played on teams of up to six people. You can bring your own team and hunt with as few as two on a team, or we can help you band together with kindred spirits at the start of the hunt. Over the years, we’ve found that “pick up” teams often have the most fun, not just because the hunt is a bit easier with more brains working on the questions, but also because the hunters have fun getting to know each other. Your team can have more than six people, but you will not be eligible to win a prize. But maybe that’s not your priority anyway! The main objective is to have fun.

Prizes: Each member of the winning team will receive a prize (it’s a sur-prize). Plus if you fill out a survey after the hunt, you’ll be eligible to win free admission to a future hunt.

Dress: Be comfortable! Don’t carry anything heavy, and definitely wear comfortable shoes!

Checking Coats and Bags: Unfortunately, the museum does not have a coat-check room near the East Entrance (which we must use as a group). If you plan on checking a coat or bags, please be sure to arrive at the East Entrance at least 10 minutes before the start of the hunt, so that we can get you into the museum and direct you upstairs to the coat check room.

How to Get to the Museum: On the Field Museum Web site, see the helpful “How to Get Here” page.
